Welcome to Jomarans Kennels
We have enjoyed raising puppies for about 35 years. In 1988 Cathy became a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and the “JOMARANS KENNELS” name became official. After raising Shetland Sheepdogs for a couple of years we discovered that a small non shedding dog fit into our lifestyle very well. We started with the Bichon Frise, then added two of their cousin breeds – the Havanese and the Coton de Tulear. These breeds were rare at that time but have since become very popular due to their wonderful natures, their hypo allergenic coats and their adorable looks!! We have been blessed with many beautiful little dogs over the years, and enjoyed meeting many many wonderful people who purchased their puppies from us. THANK YOU to all our you! It has been great getting to know you.
We are currently raising a very small number of Coton de Tulear puppies. We plan to have one litter in the fall of 2020, and potentially two litters in 2021. If you are interested in a Coton puppy, you are welcome to contact us at cotons@sasktel.net in the fall (late Sept or Oct of 2020). At that time we should have a more firm date for the planned litter.
We are very excited to welcome two young families into the Jomarans breeding community. They are continuing to raise the Jomarans Havanese bloodlines that we have worked on for the past 30 plus years. Hayley is in Saskatoon and Rachel is in Calgary. Please read their information below and contact them if you are interested in a great little Havanese addition to your family. Let them know if you are a repeat Jomarans Client!!

Meet the Team

Luke and Hayley are U of S graduates, where they studied Animal Science. Hayley is in her third year of Veterinary Medicine at the WCVM and Luke works in the agriculture industry. Hayley’s family purchased a dog from Jomaran’s in 2014 and loved him so much that Hayley decided to get a puppy of her own (Zoey) from the same lines in 2015. They started breeding the lines of Jomaran’s Kennels in 2019 after raising several litters of puppies from Zoey. They live in Saskatoon and love raising puppies and matching them to loving homes. Please check out their Facebook page and website.

Rachel Rasberry has always been an avid dog lover and owned her first Havanese at nine years old when her family purchased a show quality female from Jomaran’s Kennels. It was love at first sight and Rachel went on to do formal conformation and agility trials with her dog. From there the love of training became engrained in Rachel and after working with different breeds over the years decided to pursue a professional career in 2013 as a dog trainer – going to school at the only nationally accredited dog training school in Canada. Rachel soon found herself predominantly dealing with larger breed dogs and found herself missing the inquisitive, charming and lovable nature of the Havanese. After years of training dogs Rachel decided she wanted to change her career path and focus on the responsible breeding of Havanese. She reached out to Cathy Enns who agreed to mentor her and sell her the initial breeding pairs for the purpose of opening up her own kennel. Since then she has produced two of her own successful litters and is looking forward to moving forward and expanding her kennel, Rasberry Havanese.
